Last night
God gave you back to me
For the blink of an eye
And I felt like I was alive again

I tried
To take your hand
Begging you to stay this time
But you just vanished into the dark

Grief
Has captured my heart again
Resting on me like a cloak of lead
Shielding me from the world

Please
Come back to me
Let me embrace you for the last time
If only in my dreams
